- How do I place an order for made-to-measure curtains?
Simply request a visit from your local Plumbs Curtain Consultant. They will provide a free quotation and will bring hundreds of large fabric samples for you to see in your own home. With so much choice there’s bound to be one to match your décor. If you decide to order the consultant will expertly measure. These measures are then passed back to our factory in Lancashire, where your new curtains will be manufactured.
- If I request a visit from a Home Consultant, am I obliged to order?
No. The Home Consultant offers a free advisory service and will not put you under pressure to buy. The Home Consultant will show you large samples of all the fabrics available and provide a free no-obligation quotation for any fabric that you choose.
- When will the Home Consultant visit?
Your Home Consultant will telephone first to arrange a visit at your convenience.
- Will the Home Consultant fit my new Plumbs curtains?
Yes - Your consultant will call to arrange a convenient time to come and fit.
- What about delivery times?
Delivery of your made to measure curtains is normally within 6-8 weeks.
- Can I buy fabric by the metre?
Yes. Ask your consultant for details - whole metres are available only when they accompany an order for curtains.
- What if I live outside the U.K.?

- Are there any types of window not suitable for your service?
We haven’t found any yet. Why not ask for a visit from your local Plumbs curtain consultant. There is no-obligation for this service. There are few companies in the world with more experience at making bespoke curtains.
- What if my track/pole is in poor condition or I don’t yet have one in place?
This is usually resolved very easily through your local hardware shop. The track or pole you intend to use must be in place before the consultant measures for Plumbs made-to-measure curtains and pelmets.
- Are Plumbs curtains hardwearing?
Extremely hard-wearing and well made. Plumbs manufacture and despatch over 1,500 made to measure orders every week – no two orders are ever the same. We have been operating at this level for the last 45 years. This business is built on quality and long term customer satisfaction. - Are Plumbs curtains guaranteed?
All our curtains are guaranteed for 12 months. If you find any manufacturing defects within that time we guarantee to put them right, even if it means a complete re-cut.
